Lie example: “I have a boyfriend, sorry.”
Or any similar iteration of our lie example is one of the most common lies used by women. But why is that?
In the U.S., studies have shown that one in ten men ends up feeling unsettled about walking alone at night, while for women, it is about four in ten that feel unsafe.
The feeling of not being safe is common among women, especially when they are by themselves, and it is a trend and phenomenon that has been observed all over the world in both developed and developing countries.
Women, in general, end up feeling way less safe than men, and when you factor in the possibility of them being victims of physical and intimate assault, it is no wonder that many women end up choosing to lie to preserve their well-being.
It may seem like women lie about being in relationships to refuse unwanted advances, but in reality, this is just one of the moments when women use lies for protection.
In male-dominated industries, many women end up lying about their expertise to avoid sexist remarks, the work environment becoming hostile, and even being sabotaged professionally.
So studies point towards women using lying as a defense mechanism to avoid any issues.

everyone lies two to three times a day? I hope not I know I am sure I have lied in my life but fact is I am almost always 100% truthful and I would guess most other people are. I just cannot see anyone who is telling a lie 2 or 3 times a day.
It’s 3:33 pm here and I have lied one time today. I woke up late for work and ran out the door I called my guys and they were like are you just leaving now? I said no I forgot my phone…
Now I really did forget my phone but relized that as soon as I pulled out of the driveway. Normally I’m honest I just didn’t want to get a hard time when I got on site

I don’t think this is gender specific. We are all flawed human beings.
Everyone either lies or stretches the truth or exaggerates atleast daily! I might not tell a actually “Lie” on a regular basis, but I sure do stretch the truth sometimes and or exagerate.! I’m not even lying 🤣😂
